Herman Heyn’s stereoview records Omaha’s principal theater, built by future Nebraska governor James E. Boyd. The image survives on an early cream-colored mount with cursive titles, a variant that precedes the photographer's more common yellow-card City of Omaha series. Taken from an upper window across Farnam Street, the view documents the Italianate landmark in its final years before being destroyed by fire in 1893, leaving only the masonry shell.
