A photorealistic reconstruction of the residence of Alexander Milliner, a subject of the 1864 volume The Last Men of the Revolution. The digital model is based on the original Bingham & Dodd chromolithograph, following its architectural detail from the Greek Revival portico to the tall screen of trees. Light, atmosphere, and terrain are interpretive additions, an exercise in lending plausible three dimensional life to the printed plate.
