A digital rendering imagines the New York farmhouse of Samuel Downing, one of the last surviving veterans of the American Revolution. This reconstruction is derived from an 1864 chromolithograph by Bingham & Dodd, following the composition of the original plate from its fenestration to the dooryard tree. The model translates the two dimensional print into a volumetric space, adding speculative depth, light, and materiality to the historical record.
